“Yes, it’s a mistake. I know it’s a mistake but there are certain things in life where you know it’s a mistake but you don’t really know it’s a mistake because the only way to really know it’s a mistake is to make the mistake and look back and say yup, that was a mistake. So really, the bigger mistake would be to not make the mistake because then you’d go your whole life not really knowing if something’s a mistake or not.” —How I Met Your Mother (via littlemiss)

“So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don’t, and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said that it’d be easy, they just promised it would be worth it. Eventually feels a lot better than actually.” —Grey’s Anatomy (via runawaytrain)

“Nobody wants to admit to this but bad things will keep happening. Maybe that’s because it’s all a chain, and a long time ago someone did the first bad thing and that led someone also to do another bad thing, and so on You know, like that game where you whisper a sentence into someone’s ear, and that person whispers it to someone, and it all comes out wrong in the end. But then again, maybe bad things happen because it’s the only way we can keep remembering what good is supposed to look like.” —Jodi Picoult (via eletheowl)

The tough thing about following your heart is what people forget to mention, that sometimes your heart takes you places you shouldn't be, places that are as scary as they are exciting and as dangerous as they are alluring, and sometimes your heart takes you to places that can never lead to a happy ending. And that's not even the difficult part. The difficult part is when you follow your heart, you leave normal, and you go into the unknown. And once you do, you can never go back.

My writing becomes boring when I'm happy

Pain and heartache, you have to admit, make the best inspiration for any type of creative outlet. When I’m sad and hurting, words transcend normal letters and normal sound and invoke new intensity in feelings.

Maybe that’s why there are so many songs and books and movies about suffering; because grief brings tortured artists and writers and musicians the need to relieve the ache -

but nothing feels as good as being at peace with the world. And if my writing suffers for it, then so be it.

everyone, deep inside, is just as afraid as you are.

nothing will ever add up like you’d like it to in your head, but tragedies eventually pass and life does bloom again.

don’t ever give up on the people you love. put up with their difficult behavior because deep down, they mean more to you…

IN the end I am left with the same question, the impossible question: What makes one woman, one packet of flesh and the being inside it, so drenched in value as to make a man leave a woman he loved, leave even his own daughters?

“I write everything what I live. So, you gotta give yourself a lot of time to live a lot of things to write a lot of things. And my only option is to write about what I’ve been through and what I’ve lived, so thankfully in the past two years I’ve experienced a lot of things that I’ve been dying to write about, and a lot of things that I wanted to say in the moment, that I didn’t. In life you have a lot of situations that pop up and people that come into your life, and sometimes you don’t get to tell them what you wish you would’ve told them. And this album is my opportunity to do that. Track by track, each song is a different confession to a different person.” —Taylor Swift. (via andthatlittleblackdress) (via kieraaab) (via tswiftfan13)
